New World Writing: Two Stories

(A question for you whippersnapper netizens: has anybody come up with a single word that covers both clicking with a mouse and tapping on a touchscreen? And, if not, don't we need one?)

The pieces are taken from my forthcoming Melancholic Parables, though I use the word "forthcoming" in the loosest and most wistful sense.
