They say that every person's fingerprints are unique. But fingerprints all look practically the same.


From the top of my skyscraper, I look down on people below and they look like ants. So I exclaim, "People are just ants!"


Someone says "Good morning" and the whole conference room nods and replies, like a banal sort of mass.


It's times like these that (if I'm lucky) I realize that I'm just not getting it.


Perception fails so easily. How hard it is to look at things closely. Half the time it seems I've got my telescope turned the wrong way around.
