I suppose that's due to having a (mostly) phonetic writing system, or should I say, text-entry system. (The writing system is completely whack, but for other reasons.)

But to blame our mistakes, missteps and misspeakings on autocorrect, we'd first need to recognize them for what they were.
それくらいのことができたらもうオートコレクトなんか要らないのにな。
But if we could do that, what in the hell would we need autocorrect for?
